Nicole Ari Parker has worked in film, TV, and on stages. Her most well-known role was for playing Teri (the vigorous attorney) Joseph. The actress is known under her maiden name of Nikki Kodjoe. From the time she was a child, Nikki Kodjoe was a naturally talented actor. In an Maryland contest with high school students, she took home the award for the Best Actress. Following her time in the theater and with 'The Washington Ballet Company' she received a master's certificate in acting from New York University. She received a lot of praise after her debut big role in The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love. In the following years, she was a star in films such as "Boogie Nights Spark" as well as "Blue Streak". Her appearance on the television show Soul Food' was immensely well-received. Born from Mumbai, India and raised in Nigeria up to the age of seven. Contractor was a seasoned traveler who enjoyed traveling around the globe and in a wide range of different cultures from a young age. After boarding school, for seven years in London the family moved to Toronto Canada where she lived for the majority of her childhood and early adulthood. Contractor studied and became an expert in classical dancing in Toronto. She attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts. This is a specialized school for arts and sciences, in which she didn't just learn about theater, but also dance too. Contractor She had been dancing for more than 10 years by the time she was when she decided to focus on acting. After she completed high school, she was offered a full scholarship for tuition to University of Toronto where she was a theatre student with a dual degrees in Sociology and Psychology. Contractor was offered the lead character in Pericles after a one-year stint at the University. The audition was held for the part at Stratford Shakespeare Festival (Ontario Canada) and was awarded. In 2002, Canadian reviewers praised her performance in 92 performances of the play. Contractor accepted an invitation to attend Stratford's Conservatory program. Only eight men selected and four females accepted to a course of 20 weeks of classical theater. Contractor's place in the following play season was secured and she was chosen in the play as Hermia.
